A visit to great Grandma & Grandpa's

There are 4 generations in this picture. I thought that was pretty cool!
Her and my mom had such a great time with the babies!
Mya loves the way the grass feels on her toes!
Here she is with my Grandpa
Mya and Cooper playing on the grass.
Oh dear...she loves grabbing his face.

This is my mom's mom and dad. They live in South Jordan not too far from Nick's parents house. We took the babies up there to see them last Sunday and they had a blast! W found out Cooper is allergic to the grass and came home covered in a rash...it was pretty sad!  My grandparents are the ones that have a condo in St George that we all love to go down and stay in. That's where we are going this weekend. They are the cutest most active couple ever. They're hilarious!

A dream come true

Today I am grateful for the many Mothers in my life....

My Mom - she is the kindest most loving person I know. I was lucky to have her raise me and be such a great example to follow cause I think she is one of this worlds most amazing mothers. She is the BEST Grandma to Mya and we love her so much.

Nick's Mom - Nick is the sweetest, most patient man I have ever met. He is a wonderful loving husband and the greatest daddy to Mya. Just being around him proves what an awesome mom he had. She is always thinking of us and does so much. Mya loves her to death and so do we.

Your Mom - We look at you, what you have been through, what you are doing now and I know you wouldn't be there without your wonderful mommy! We love her for the way that she raised you....she has to be pretty amazing!

Your Birth Mom - We are grateful for a tough selfless decision that was made 19 years ago when she placed you in such a wonderful home.

You! - You are so young and have been through so much already in life and yet you are so strong and faithful. We will always admire your strength and courage. Without you we wouldn't have the most precious thing in our lives...Mya. We love her more and more everyday Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for giving us something so special.

Last of all I am sooooooooooooooooooo thankful today to be a mommy! Honestly I have said it a million times in my head today. I am a mom, I am a mom.....wow I can't believe I can say that! I am not sure my brain has been able to fully comprehend it yet. I have sat a lot today and just thought quietly about how blessed I am to have this opportunity. I remember the pain that came with waiting what seemed like an eternity. But the wait is over, my time to be a mom is finally here and I know that Heavenly Father had this plan from the beginning.  Becoming a mom through adoption has been an incredible experience, I wouldn't wish for anything different.  I also spent some time thinking about all the people who are still waiting and wanting this very blessing. I think I must have said a million silent prayers today for those people. So many of them are good friends and family. How did we get so lucky to have the BEST baby and the BEST birth mom ever! The smiles, laughs, hugs and kisses from Mya make even the hardest times worth it. Being a mom for me is truly a dream come true. Thank you for being a part of that!

Happy Mothers Day!!

The Tulip Festival

Mya & Cooper sitting in the stroller together at the tulip festival
She loves being outside

Loves her Daddy!
There were so many colors of tulips it was beautiful! This picture doesn't even do it justice!

This is the same place we took our family pictures at to put on our adoption profile almost exactly 1 year ago. Crazy to be back here and have a baby with us!

She is such a big girl!

She loves when Nick holds her upside down, she's like a little monkey!

Here we are at the Thanksgiving Point tulip festival. We came with Brittney, Derek & Cooper it was a lot of fun! Again it was so cool to walk through the gardens and remember what we were doing at the last tulip festival....wishing for a baby!

9 months old!

9 months old...that band aid on her leg is from her Dr. visit. She is a pro at shots now. I am pretty sure it is harder for me to watch her get them than for her to actually get the shot! :)
We take SO many pics of her I think she is starting to like to pose for the camera!
The flash on the camera was really bright and it was making her giggle like crazy!
She was being so funny in these she was getting right up at the camera and trying to take it from me! Look at those cute little teeth!
Can you believe that at this point she has now lived with us as long as she was in your belly! Crazy!
About 2 weeks ago she started crawling.....it's almost like an army crawl but man she can get around quickly!! It's crazy all the things she can get into now. Nick caught her taking all the DVD's off the shelf. Pretty funny!
Nick is always making her laugh! She is such a sweetie!

Peace & Love always

For some odd reason she really likes Nick's toes....he wanted me to point out that this was taken right after he took a shower, so he had nice clean toes!! :)
Mya loves Louie!!!

This is her leaning in trying to kiss Louie!
She's also fascinated with tongues, it's pretty funny!
When we were at church with her the other day three little boys gathered around her while she was sitting on the floor in sacrament from ages 11 months to 4 years old. One of the little boys (2 years old) kept saying to her "oh you are so pretty, I like your headband" It was one of the cutest things ever!! She is only 9 months old and boys are already hitting on her :)

These are the little pair of Toms shoes Nick's mom and dad got her for Easter! They are so cute and tiny, we love them!

Now that she is rolling all over she is wanting to get into everything, especially drawers with knobs on them.

Remember this......

I got looking at pics today and just had to post some old ones! She is so tiny!!! Oh man what an amazing journey this has been. I will never forget any of it! I still remember like it was yesterday the first time we heard about you...how nervous yet excited we were to meet you! Meeting you and falling right in love! Then the drive home from meeting you and the stop offs we made to tell family members the incredible news!!!!! Walking into the hospital and seeing her for the first time. I will never forget the comforting look of peace you had on your face, you are one of the most amazing girls I have ever met and I love you so much! The drive home was incredible I sat in the back seat next to Mya and just watched her sleep. I kept thinking holy cow is this real, this is so awesome! Then I also thought please don't wake up cause I have no idea what to do with you! :) When we stopped at Nick's parents house to let them have a look at her. I didn't even get out of the car I made everyone go around to the other side of the car and get in one at a time! Nick tried to make me and then his dad told him not to mess with mama bear (me)  right now! lol! I did not want to leave her side for anything! I think about how much I loved her then and didn't think I could possibly love her more....but I do! She is the best most amazing thing (other than Nick) that has come into my life! You and Mya will forever be a reason for my increase in faith. Miracles do exist, prayers are answered, dreams very much do come true! We'll never be able to say thank you enough. We love you and miss you!
