She's ready for Halloween!

Here she is so happy because she got my eye makeup out and I was laughing so hard I didn't stop her. Usually I don't let her play with this so she's having a hay day! The look on her face was so funny!

She is very proud of herself because I am laughing so hard. I'm surprised I was able to stop long enough to get some good pics!

She is so funny now when I am getting her ready to take a bath. I was filling the tub turned around and here she comes walking in the bathroom naked with my witch hat on...lol. Just another one of those moments when I had to run out and grab my camera to capture this. She feels like a free woman when she's nude and it's hilarious! I have to say she makes a pretty darn cute witch!

Oh so cute!

She loves playing with Grandma's giant exercise ball! I sit her on my lap and bounce, she laughs and screams it's so funny!

Silly little thing, I get lots of these funny face pictures too she is such a goofy girl!

I can't get over how big she looks in these I feel like she's looking much more like a toddler than a baby! It makes me want to cry! But she is getting to be pretty fun, her personality is so great and funny. Pretty sure we couldn't love her more than we do!

We took her out to dinner this night and everyone at the restaurant loved her. she had an audience as she was dipping everything we gave her in ranch, she had a nice ranch beard.

These are her favorite boots. She always gets them from her room, brings them to me and says "boots on" She is not as good at walking in them but she tries so hard!

She loves to play in her closet with all of her hair accessories. She still puts bracelets on her ankles and today she was putting all her headbands around her leg. :) So cute!

She gets so deep in thought and focused it's hilarious!

Today I went to the adoption orientation. I sat there and thought about how we were sitting in that exact same orientation almost exactly 2 years ago. I wasn't sure how it was going to be or how I was going to feel. I left the last orientation in tears thinking there was no way I could handle adopting a baby. I thought is was going to be too hard and I wasn't strong enough. I am so glad that we listened to the spirit and put our fears behind us. Now almost a year and a half later we have the most precious little girl and we're ready to do it all again! I was the only one in the meeting today who had been though the process. I got to talk... well I would say brag about you a lot! I couldn't let the day pass without telling you how thankful I am for you and that I absolutely love you to death! You mean so much to us, to think we have Mya because of you is pretty awesome! You made so many of my fears about adoption leave, my faith in the process is stronger than ever. Thank you for making our adoption journey such a great one. I know Mya will be such an amazing big sister and we are excited to get this all going again! Thank you for everything!!

Picking pumpkins!

Since we have always lived in Utah County where I grew up, Nick knows all the places I've been and things I've done. It's been fun to be in SLC and get a taste of the things he did while growing up in SLC. We are still in a battle over which area is better! Although I have to say South Jordan is really a great place and is growing on me a lot.

This is the pumplin patch NIck used to come to when he was little. It was fun to be able to bring Mya here.

We read her a story called "The five little pumpkins" every night, it's one of her favorites so she was very excited to see real pumpkins.

She is amazing, picking pumpkins with her this year was lots of fun!

We found four perfect pumpkins, that includes one for Louie too!

This is what happens when the clothes get stripped for bath time and I turn my back. She's outa there!

Lol she always looks so cute! I was smart this time and grabbed the camera to catch her in the act! Look at that cute little bum!

At this point she is trying to run from me and laughing while doing so!  She is one crazy little girl who loves to be in the nude! lol :)

I wasn't fast enough to catch her hair while it was all the way standing up....it is getting so long!

Nick is teaching her how to do tricks with her tongue so she likes to stick it out all the time now!

Everything really is an adventure with her, even bath time! :)

We love Fall!

For the last session of conference on Saturday we took a drive up the canyon and listened to it on the radio. It was beautiful, chilly but so pretty! The colors in these pictures just don't do it justice. We live in such a gorgeous state and I know that I take it for granted all the time. Because we had such a dry summer I didn't think we would have such pretty leaves this fall but they have been awesome! We saw a little chipmunk when we were walking. We drove up to Snowbird and walked around a bit but it was really cold so we didn't want Mya to be out very long. Fall is for sure one of my most favorite seasons. Conference was amazing as usual. The talks were beautiful and inspired, once again they  made me want to be a better person especially since I have a daughter to teach and be an example for. I was grateful throughout the entire thing as I thought of all the conferences I had watched in the past hoping and praying for answers, peace and healing as I waited to have my most fervent prayer answered......to have a baby!  I feel so blessed every single time I look at Mya. I love the gospel and I know it's true!

 

 

Doing what we love!

This was a sad day, I think her teeth had been bothering her. When I put her down for her nap she was just screaming and she rarely ever does that so I knew something was wrong. I felt so bad for her I held her until she fell asleep in my lap on the couch then I carefully slid her off my lap and let her sleep. So cute!

I am going to be a witch for Halloween and Mya likes playing with my hat.

She takes it on and off. Mya loves it when I put it on myself too, it makes her laugh and give me weird looks!

Then of course when I want to get a picture of her she will not for anything keep the darn witch hat on. Here is a small look at the fit she threw when I tried to make her wear it! Sassy!

Oh yeah she can totally work my phone! She loves to play games on there already and sometimes sends random text messages :)

Lounging in my lap listening to Dad read stories before bed.

We have this great bedtime routine that we do with her every night. First we get pj's on. Then we let her pick the first book to read. After we read five or six books we say a prayer, she is even learning how to fold her arms, close her eyes and bow her head. We do a big group hug and then she goes in her crib. Once she is in her crib we sing "pajama time" while she wiggles and dances in her crib with a big smile the whole time! Then she gets lots of kisses from Nick, Louie and I and it's lights out. She has a little lady bug that projects stars on the ceiling and we turn the children's hymn CD for her.  We don't usually hear another peep from her until the next morning! Those are some of the best moments we spend with her.

She loves hanging with Grandma. and of course wearing her glasses.

New toys that Grandma bought for her drawer cause she cleaned out some of th e"baby baby" ones. Sad.......she's growing out of her baby toys. :(

Here she is loving her baby! She loves that baby has a hat and this little doll has been with her pretty much non stop since she got her. She rocks her, says shh shh shh, and tries to feed her. Oh yeah and you can tell how much we kiss this little girl cause her baby is constantly getting kisses. Mmmwaaaa is what she says XOXO!  See she is going to make the best big sister in the world!
