13 weeks old, time flys!

She looks like such a big girl! She always crosses her legs like this when she sits, so funny!

I thought I would post a little update. Things have been going pretty well since I went back to work I can't believe it's almost been 2 weeks. The first week was hard I think she was a little thrown to all of a sudden have me gone almost the whole day. By the time I got home at 5:00 she would just fuss the rest of the night....I felt SO bad and guilty. This last week she has been great! Everyone that watches her comments on how great she is and how good she is at sticking to her schedule! It actually makes it so much less stressful to leave her and know that she is such s good baby for whoever watches her. Our families are loving the chance they are getting to spend time with her. I even think it will make her a better baby, she doesn't always have to be with Mom and Dad to be happy which I think is good for her. Plus she is getting a good idea just how much her entire family loves her. I have settled down a lot about being away from her....I am more of a baby than she is! I still can't wait for the day when I get to stay home again, it really was the best 12 weeks ever. I miss our walks and being able to talk to her all day. She is starting to really giggle a lot, we love it. Usually in the early afternoons and late nights she gets a burst of funny energy and just laughs at everything, it is honeslty the cutest thing ever. She is really doing good at focusing on things and grabbing them. She can hold her rattle and put it in her mouth all by herself. She can also take her binky in and out of her mouth. She is really strong and is able to bear a lot of weight on her legs. Eyes are still bluer than blue and her hair is still blonde as ever. Her ear piercings are doing good, she doesn't bug them at all and they don't seem to hurt or bother her either. She does hate it when I have to clean them but it's cause the colution is really cold. She is getting pretty chunky and eating a ton, Nick drove out to Magna today to pick up some more breast milk for her.....she goes through that stuff so fast. We just had a baby shower for Britt yesterday and it was so fun to see all the little boy baby stuff since our world is so pink! I can't wait for Mya to have her little buddy Cooper down here to play with, I think they will stir up plenty of trouble in the coming years! :) Britt's belly is so cute, kind of makes me sad I might never have one of those. You two look so cute with your prego bumps, they look like fun! One of my best friends is getting their 2nd baby through LDS Family Services, they just went to Idaho this week to pick her up. Looking at their pictures brought me back to our experience and made me once again so thankful for you. We could not have asked for a more amazing and darling mama! You really are the best and you definately made the cutest baby around! We are way excited to put her in her Halloween costume tomorrow and Nick gets to bring her trick or treating at my office, we can't wait to show her off!! Nick is being a nerd (totally fitting), I ended up getting a Wenda Waldo costume (the girl from the Where's Waldo books, then little Mya will be the cupcake and Louie will be a bumble bee. We are taking Mya up to Nick's sister's house to trick or treat for a bit with the nieces and nephews. It should be fun! We will take lots of pictures and post them for ya. Can you believe tomorrow is the last day in October! Only like 3 more weeks until we get to see you. We cannot wait for you to see Mya! Here's some of the latest pics we've taken. Ear piercing adventure

Nick was the brave one, so he held her.

Oh this picture breaks my heart! Don't worry she only cried for about 20 seconds. I think it scared her more that anything.

They look so cute on her, I am glad it's over!

Getting the ears pierced was not as bad as I imagined it being, but it was still sad! The girl  that helped us was so cute and she really liked Mya. We chose the little clear diamonds with 14k gold so they won't get infected. They are tiny but look so big on her little ears. We can't wait for you to see them next month, They don't show up so well in pics, but trust me they are darling! My little brother Codie had to put his dog that we've had for 12 years to sleep yesterday and he was having a really rough time. We took Mya over to see him and my Mom after we pierced her ears and of course she made him smile! She really has that effect on people. All in all it wasn't a horrible experience. We keep hearing from people that it's better to do it now while she is young so we can keep them super clean and stuff for her. I think she'll thank us someday :)

We can't even begin to tell you how amazing these last 3 months have been! Mya is our whole world! She is growing and getting more of a personality, it's so fun to watch her. She is the sweetest little girl. I love all these pictures. The last one totally fits how I see her.....just a sweetie! The ones where she is smiling so big remind me of how you look in the pics you just sent us...so happy and free spirited! We hope you know how much we love you and appreciate having the both of you in our lives. We feel like the luckiest people ever.

If I could only eat one thing ever it would be beef jerky,I could live on it. Here I am letting Mya try some jerky and I've never been so proud......she LOVED it!

Mmmmmmm beef jerky! My mom used to feed me jerky when I was teething, I guess the salt did something to make my sore mouth feel better. I have honestly loved jerky since I was about her age!

Mya's new toy. Grandma has one of these and she loves it so we bought one too.

She can already grab the bird and make it sing! She's too smart! It plays sort of an island type music and she likes it!

P.S. - I got her to laugh again tonight! It is honestly the cutest thing ever! She does it at the most random times when we're not even being our funniest! :) She's so cute!

Tiff's first day back to work

October 18 was my first day back at work. Man it was a lot harder than I thought it would be. I missed her a lot and I kept looking at the clock thinking oh it's Mya's feeding time or oh I hope she's taking her nap right now. I wasted a lot of time looking at my pictures of her and wishing I was at home. Right before lunch time I got called to the lobby, and there waiting for me was this darling vase of flowers. The card said it was from Nick and Mya and that they missed me. I won't lie it brought tears! I love both of them so much. It was fun to go home for lunch feed her and hold her. She smiled lots which always makes me feel good! When I got home I realized that Mya had been just fine without me. She is such a good baby. I am glad that I really like my job or honestly I could not do this. I can't wait to be able to be home with her all the time. I even missed changing her diapers.....that's something I never thought I'd say! The next day she got to go spend part of the day with Nick's mom. Nick's mom is so cute, Mya was spoiled rotten all day!!! My little sister Britt had her for a couple hours today and did an amazing job. We are so lucky to have so many great family members that love us and Mya so much. Everyone is taking such good care of her it makes me being gone a little easier. Thanks for your text message too, it made me smile!

Okay sorry this post doesn't come with many pics but we had to tell you about this!!! Mya officially laughed for the first time today! I got her to laugh this morning and I called Nick (in tears...I'm serious) it was so dang cute! Then out of nowhere tonight we were talking to her and she started to laugh. It was soooooooooooo cute! I am headed back to work tomorrow for the first time in 12 weeks and I am so sad......I don't ever want to miss any of her firsts! I'll be fine but of course she just had to add one more adorable thing to my list of reasons I NEVER want to leave her! We really need to get a video camera so we can send some videos. :) BTW- thanks for the email and the pictures, you look darling even with those not so cute uniforms. I see so much of Mya in you, it's fun!  We sure love you and can't wait until you get to hear this little girls laugh :)

BTW- My friend made her that little bracelet she is wearing. It has 2 hearts on it and she told me that it has 2 hearts for 2 moms! I thought that was a cute idea :)

Here is Mya when we got home from church today. Lol we thought she looked pretty cute!! This was the first time we took her to our ward for the full block of church. She was great! She mostly slept, and during sacrament she really liked looking at and hearing all the little kids around us! It was fun and I had to laugh at all the people who came up to me and said "wow Tiff you look so good for just having a baby!" I just laugh and explain that we adopted her and then I thank them for telling me I look good! :)  I have been in the young womens for the entire time we've lived in that ward so I don't know a ton of people and I guess word doesn't travel all that fast! Pretty funny.

She loves sleeping all snuggled up in the blankets. All I have to do at nap time is put her blanket in between her arms and she rubs it on her little face until she falls asleep! it is so cute!
